The lyrics from the song written in 1912, The Old Rugged Cross, say it well. In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine, such a wonderful beauty I see. For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died, to pardon and sanctify me.
Do you feel the need for forgiveness in your life? How about freedom from bad choices? You can forgive others. You can even forgive yourself. But, if you want to be renewed, released, and redeemed, the only way is through Jesus Christ.Β
I like to picture that wooden cross with all my bad choices, regrets, mistakes, insecurities, issues, and yes, letβs call it for what it is, SIN, on that cross. Knowing that when I give it over to Jesus, and ask Him to forgive me, release me, and make me new, He will. Because Christ went to the cross on our behalf, we can walk in this freedom! When we recognize, admit, and lay things down, the Lord moves on our behalf. Itβs about letting go and trusting Him to work all things out for our good. Romans 8:28
What are you carrying that needs releasing? Give it to the Lord and your life will begin to change, from the inside out!ππ»ππ»ππ» Praise the Lord!!! You will be glad you did!π₯°
βFor all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.β Romans 3:23-24
