To socialize my pup I took her to the park on a daily basis. She was embraced by all. It was belly rubs in exchange for doggy kisses! It seemed to be going well, but as the months rolled by, it soon became all consuming to her. She had become completely focused on the people around her, and the positive attention, and forgotten all about me. Her Master!
Have you ever fallen into the trap of people pleasing? It is natural for us to want the approval of others. Being popular or over committing your calendar may seem the way, but is it worth it if we lose focus on what truly matters? Pleasing God! There is a freedom that comes with seeking to please the Lord, not men. When our heart is right before the Lord, we find peace and satisfaction in a job well done, not the accolades of others.
If you want a WIN, seek to please HIM.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” ~Colossians 3:23-24

Amen, this is such a truthful message, how quickly we can lose focus of who we are in Christ Jesus. by allowing ourselves to listen to accolades of others, which can tear us down instead of building us up. Without Yeshua Messiah a follower begins to wither from lack of His living water
